- Catch the film Gosford Park being screened at the Library of Congress Theater on the Packard Campus in Culpeper. It will show 7:30 pm on thursday.

- Try out Schuyler Day. Schuyler day is located in Walton’s Mountain museum. The event is from 10 am to 3:30 pm Saturday.
The Nelson County community is not celebrated enough. Schuyler Day is meant to bring awareness to the community and allow them an opportunity to learn about and enjoy Nelson County. The day is fun packed with games, a full museum tour and list of all of the towns up and coming events. There will also be information available about the hometown of Earl Hamner. - 5th Annual Craft Brew Festival in Virginia. This event is located in Roseland at the Devils Backbone Basecamp Brew pub and Meadows. The event begins 2 pm Saturday.
If you do chose the camping option then you will have early admission to the gorgeous Nelson County park grounds at 10 am on Saturday to being tasting over 80 brews from participation vendors. Enjoy some outdoor fun while drinking delicious libations and even chatting with the brewers from your favorite breweries. The events music will begin at 3 pm. This year the Gold Top County Ramblers will kick off the tunes and will be followed shortly by 4:15 pm Rosterfood and then at 6 pm Three Sheets to the Wind. Tickets at $45 if purchased at the door, $35 dollars advance sale, $10 for children 13 to 20 years of age, 12 and under are free. - The Democracy Vineyards are putting on an event to Celebrate Suffrage this Saturday at 1:30pm in Faber.
Our U.S. Constitution made history on August 18th, 1920 when the 19th Amendment was ratified to allow women the right to vote. What better way to celebrate this victory then with a tasting of the famous Chambourcin. A wine certified specialist named Sharon Cheng will be leading the tasting of many different Suffrage vintages. Then winemaker Ben Margulies will lead the event on Sunday with tastings beginning at 5 pm. The events music will be lead all by women musicians beginning with Sue Harlow on Saturday at 2:30 until 5:30 pm. Then on Sunday Renee Ruth will play from 2:30 until 5:30 pm as well. Blenheim Vineyards will be hosting quite an event with music and a ton of fun festivities that will sure get you ready for the annual music festival.
